What’s to say he hasn’t but just not been announced by the club maybe they have decided to wait for him to return. Instead of looking for a negative & shooting it down why not wait & see, just cause timeframe was wrong does not mean the rest is. I agree, look how long it took Arsenal to announce signing Rice, when everyone knew he was going there. What a number of people fail to understand is the domino effect, eg if we get Schuurs to sign, then Andersen will be sold, not before.

Think 'chains' when you're trying to move house. It works both ways; a "firm" (as per Evening Standard) offer needs us to be sure we're getting the transfer fee in as well. But I think it will be Guehi on the move not Andersen - where both strikes me as unlikely. That's because of how much longer rumours have circled round him, how his rumoured fee went up, how much we're spending on replacement and maybe finalisation taking longer while Chelsea decide whether to exercise their right to match the price. (Oh all right - and because I'd like to see Newcastle's dirty money and Howe's smug grin disappointed!)

I agree there Charles and my preference would be to see Guehi go before Andersen, provided Schuurs is the replacement.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Sad to see either depart, but recognise the economics. Best centre half pairing we’ve ever had. Bear in mind the full backs either side. Nearest challenge to this statement from another supporter was Cannon and Gilbert.

You can add Young and Thorn, and McCormack and Blyth to the list

Not sure about that, they are atrocious in the air together and corners against are virtually worth a goal to the opposition. Burnley Away and West Ham at home being just two examples where we looked like conceding every time.

You could see Adams as a squad replacement for Mateta.
