Normal trading in shares doesn't go through the books as share capital is not affected, cancellation can be because a vested interest has not been met. Listed companies do it if they feel the shares are under valued.

Ofer family are fabulously wealthy I worked for a company that was a supplier to one of their companies. Very well run, very competitive and certainly didn't waste money. Will expect a return on any money spent. They look after their employees though, had very loyal staff.
