Todays extra download is a set by Sonic Youth that was recorded at CBGB's New York on the 3rd July 1992. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. The band booked the show as a secret gig and went under the name "Drunken Butterfly" - which is a track from their album "Dirty" which was released 3 weeks after this show and much of the album is performed here. Todays first download is a set by guitar legend Gary Moore that was recorded in Frankfurt, Germany on the 19th March 1984. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and it sounds top notch. I've posted lots of albums and bootlegs by Gary Moore over the years and this is another top sounding bootleg for the collection. This is a great show which also has Ian Paice on drums - taking a break from Deep Purple. If you like Gary Moore then grab this show... this is thoroughly recommended. Todays second download is a recent set by the walking wookies ZZ Top that was recorded at the FM Kirby Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA on the 8th March 2015. This is an audience recorded show and it's one of the best I've heard. I don't really like audience shows as they tend to sound "Distant" - but not this one. This is a very good show and it has been remastered to remove some of the audience noise. What we have is a really good show which sounds excellent. The band perform a top set with the classics "Give Me All Your Loving" "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Tush" all being played. If you like ZZ Top then grab this recent show... Todays extra download is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted. They are called Prime Circle and they come from South Africa. This is a set they performed in Germany on the 17th October 2014 and this is in great quality. The notes I saw suggested this was a soundboard - I'm not 100pct sure of that as I think it could be a very good audience recorded show. They band have released 6 studio albums to date and have had multi-platinum discs in South Africa. They were formed in 2000 in Johannesburg and are still going. If you don't know this band then give this show a try... they are very good and this is a top set... Todays first download is a set by Gong that is in tribute to the founder of the band Daevid Allen who died on Friday. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. Boots by Gong in good quality and extremely rare - I only have a few myself. This is a good one and if you like the songs of Zero The Hero and the Pot Head Pixies then download this one and get on the flying teapot to Planet Gong. R.I.P Daevid.. you will be missed.... Todays second download is a set by Van Halen that has been taken from various FM broadcasts. This is in superb quality and the audio is from FM broadcasts during the year. I've posted a lot of VH shows and albums over the years - this is another top bootleg for the collection. If you like Van Halen this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays extra download is a set by The Proclaimers that was recorded at the Summer Sundae Festival on the 12th August 2006. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from an FM Broadcast of the show and it sounds top notch. According to my files this is the first bootleg by this band that I've posted - but not the first album as I've previously posted one of their nine studio released albums. The band is composed of identical twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid, they are best known for their songs "Im Gonna Be (500 Miles)" and "Letter From America". Todays first download isnt a bootleg but it is a live album. This is Paul Carrack - Live At The London Palladium. This is a great set by Paul Carrack who performs some classic songs from his career - he performs songs from his days with Ace, Mike And The Mechanics and some of his solo work. If you like Paul Carrack then download this album... this is thoroughly recommended... and then some!. Todays second download is a set by Suede that was recorded at the NME Awards, 02 Academy, Brixton, London on the 18th February 2015. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds top notch. I've not posted that many bootlegs by Suede in the past - only 4 according to my files so it's about time for another. This is a great set and the version of "Killing Of A Flashboy" is fantastic.
