Both gamekeeper and poacher...

Price Waterhouse Cooper, who advise the government on numerous issues relating to tax, have provided senior officials to various departments and have been gifted major government contracts. Isn't this is a clear conflict of interest given PWC pursuit of tax avoidance schemes for its clients on an industrial scale?
On radio 5 a spokesperson said PWC had a duty to the shareholders of the companies it represents. No duty to the tax payer, the country or decency then? These parasites are happy to protect their own money while supporting cuts in public spending.

Fair enough link (and funny) but its not as if firms like PWC are not also very involved in influencing political parties' policies on tax and "loop holes".

Big corporations have the ear of politicians and so laws get crafted to fit their needs or at very least they very often get 'left alone'. It's poor and middle class people that get f***ed over by the tax man.

I'm appalled!
It's a complete waste of public money. Why deploy 300 staff when 2 will achieve the same results?

Surely not!

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

A Unite spokesman said: “This is another sorry attempt to slur Unite. The truth is that we pay every penny of tax that we owe because we

take our responsibilities to this nation seriously.

“The Exchequer has ruled that we do not have to pay corporation tax because of the suite of benefits we offer, including sickness and accident benefit, so relieving the state of the burden of providing those in need with financial support.

“This is what unions do. They take care of their members. It is deeply concerning that the Tory party cannot understand that and that instead it chooses to present this relationship as something warped.”

So in a nutshell they are being tax efficient?

I hope Len McCluskey is being tax efficient, because he's on £140k a year - must be a struggle.
