Its clear we need more quality, its ok to spend money wisely. I trust Tony Pulis to do that As he has experience, you should do the same as should CPFC2010.

If we rush right in and sign someone at the start of a window, it looks like the player got what he asked for. Negotiating until the end of a window puts pressure on the player to possibly accept a lower fee. Our fixtures have actually helped us with this strategy by having Stoke and Hull, two winnable matches in close proximity. If we have our eye on a couple of prospects for the end of the window, they will be ready for the Arsenal game. That boy from the youth team was part of the infrastructure that was invested in - the Academy.

You are right, people are going to find the sustainable strategy tough to take, but there has to be a limit to that or the club becomes uncompetitive and starts to get a reputation for being unambitious.

The bottom line is that 2010 hired - at significant cost - a proven PL manager. If that manager says we need to bring new players in to give us a better chance of staying up, I trust his judgement.

One at the back to compete with DD & Gabbidon, and ultimately take over from the latter who is doing a sterling job but is 34 years old. Better to get someone in to start integrating and give another option now, rather than leave it to the summer. Not Dann though, due to the stupid money involved, so the question is can they find the right man?
