Funny how people fully believe the spin on the Moody transfers at Cardiff. Does anybody not think that Tan would've seen the transfers one by one or week to week? Or did all the deals land in his email inbox all in one go? Dear boss, I've spent £10mil more than agreed. Regards, I. Moody.

Interesting how also sydtheeagle has started in this thread by saying 'Parish should keep his mouth shut', to 'Why aren't we being told what is going on?' This is amongst threads where no clues as to how he or anyone else with this viewpoint thinks we should go about the wage and contract length demands of players already in £40k - £50k per week contracts. In all the states people have worked themselves into, they cannot grasp that you either have to spend very highly right now, or you wait a few days. Clubs cannot use more than the 25 man squads plus youngsters. It really is that straightforward yet people just don't want to accept it. Instead argue around and avoid the exact economics.

[But the owners of Cardiff and Hull don't interfere with the footballing side of the club at all. One changed the colours that they play in and the other wants a slight change to the club's name.

People do claim that if they don't get their own way that they might just walk away from the club but somehow I doubt it as it would mean writing off the sizeable debts that the clubs own them and no-ne is daft enough to cut off their noses to spite a few disgruntled fans.

I would say that undermining a previously successful manager, replacing the sporting director with someone who had no knowledge of football, and then bringing in a manager with no experience of managing in the premiership, and an average managerial record at best is definitely interfering in the football side of thigns

It would appear that the Sporting Director that he sacked had been acting way outside his terms of reference if the media reports are to be believed and he had lost confidence in his ability to perform.

What is so different about Tan "bringing in a manager with no experience of managing in the premiership, and an average managerial record at best" which you claim is "definitely interfering in the football side of things" and Steve Parish who appointed Dougie Freedman who had absolutely no experience of managing any club in any division whatsoever

Ian J, that's a selective memory if ever I've seen one. DF was offered the job because of a few reasons.

1) Nobody wanted to take it on. We know this because it was the same the previous year in admin when only Paul Hart was willing.

2) DF knew the whole squad as he'd been a coach or asst for 12 months.

3) He gave 2010 of what he needed adding (KG, Augustien), and how he could earn the points to stay up.

4) We were at rock bottom, he was starting out. Perfect fit. We grow together. Unfortunately DF wanted to go at his speed and couldn't go at the developing speed of Jedi, Zaha etc without being nudged by the board.

Don't compare Palace in 22nd place in the Championship with the squad and budget then, with Cardiff now.

You beat me to it Rudi. Just not a sensible comment, we were in the poop and had to get a manager. And Dougie appears to have been the best of whoever was interviewed.

Tan created the need by disposing of a perfectly serviceable one. And as you say, it's not the same thing bringing in a new manager when you are in the Premiership, with the massively bigger scale and financial risks.

Mind you, it does look like it may have been a master stroke. Solskjaer appears to have all the right friends.

Lol. Thats the end of that Tabloid bollocks then. I knew it was all s***. Pulis isn't that sort of character. He is frustrated which is apparent to see for all but they've just added a bit on by saying he'll leave because of it.

We'll sign some decent players and Pulis will stay. Relax Frankie!

So much for the alleged "Fallout" with Parish which I stated was not true !

Is Pulis disappointed that he hasn't been able to secure certain targets ? YES
Is Pulis frustrated by the lack of signings ? YES
Has Pulis fallen out with Parish ? NO

Yesterday it wasn't in the interest to print lies, and now TP is hinting that. Shall we have a 20 page thread debating which paper is publishing the lies?....

Pulis told the South London Press: "It sells papers. I've never done that before and I'm not going to do that now.
"It is a lot of nonsense. I came here to do a job and I want to get that job done."

Of course he might leave in the Summer. Anyone might leave anywhere in the Summer. What matters is survival that is calculated properly. If that situation arises we'll know what we need to do with that open position and the squad.

I'm beginning to think that some people just like the sound of their own voices as they are fond of answering questions that haven't been asked and taking quotes out of context just for the sake of arguing.

Let's have a look at the timeline on this one.

1) In answer to the specific point that at least we don't have awful owners like Cardiff and Hull I comment that whilst they annoy supporters by changing the team's colours and trying to change the club's name at least they have pumped many millions into their clubs and they don't get involved in footballing matters.

2) Someone answers that Tan does get involved in football matters as he sacked a manager and replaced him with one that had no Premiership experience

3) I replied specifically to that point saying that Steve Parish did the same by sacking our manager and replacing him with someone with no managerial experience at all.

4) I am now accused of having a selective memory by one person and posting a reply that wasn't sensible by another.

We all know that your style is to post as if you're in the know but in the denial issued by Tony Pulis he didn't mention whether he had fallen out with Steve Parish or not.

With respect, I don't set out to give any such impression so it is down to your interpretation of my comments.
Pulis of course never mentioned anything about an alleged "Fallout" probably because it is irrelevant.

This isn't really going anywhere for you is it?

Tan does or doesn't get involved and Moody is now criticised heavily for overspending. Should he have kept quiet, should he have spoken up, or does he speak after it's gone t1ts up?

Hindsight is great, SP makes calculated decisions before that happens. If it goes wrong, some ownership of errors are made. I know who I'd rather have, and I know I'd rather have an owner who isn't acquiescent to every decision based on here and now whilst praying that having 1,2, or 3 £50k a week players for the next 3 seasons with everyone else on £15k or less isn't going to be a problem.

TP won't specifically deny there's tensions because quite frankly, that's day to day life when you have one party that wants one end of the spectrum because he's interested in his career and the consequences do not matter, versus the one who signs cheques off and has a bigger and longer-term responsibilty, which I'm glad he does.
