I'm responding to the OP question regarding atmosphere. I'm referring to group dynamics and how over a certain time frame atmosphere will change due to these dynamics. Its a certainty that over time what has helped us i.e atmosphere will waver. This is due to the sanitation that is Sky Sports and TV. There was a time not so long ago that if you wanted to watch Palace you had to go to watch Palace. Prolonged period in the premiership will change this. Personally i would take the premiership and this gamble all day long as I want to see palace play the top teams, but if we are still up in the top flight in say 4 years time mark my words it will be prawns and over exhausted expectations all round the ground come match days.

Of course Seth the team and manager are doing that, but I don't think we would be sitting 3 places above relegation without the help of both the HF and our vocal support. I'm responding to the OP question regarding atmosphere.
I'm referring to group dynamics and how over a certain time frame atmosphere will change due to these dynamics. Its a certainty that over time what has helped us i.e atmosphere will waver. This is due to the sanitation that is Sky Sports and TV.
There was a time not so long ago that if you wanted to watch Palace you had to go to watch Palace. Prolonged period in the premiership will change this.
Personally i would take the premiership and this gamble all day long as I want to see palace play the top teams, but if we are still up in the top flight in say 4 years time mark my words it will be prawns and over exhausted expectations all round the ground come match days.

I think that you’re comments are a bit OTT as you’re implying that only those people that make a lot of noise are true Palace fans which is a load of nonsense. Some people like to sing and shout and leap around all the time whilst others prefer to watch the football but both can be classified as true fans. If you disagree then I guess that makes Steve Parish a plastic as I very much doubt whether he has ever spent his time at Selhurst Park leaping up and down and chanting. Whilst no longer a regular at Selhurst Park I used to be for many years but wasn’t one for chanting or leaping but that didn’t make me any less of a fan than those that did and whilst the noise levels may have been less in those days it didn’t affect the team’s performance and we played well and won matches when we had a good team and played badly and lost when we didn’t. The comments about prawns was also a bit daft as football ceased being a working class man’s sport many decades ago and quite right too. I started going to Selhurst 40 years ago and there were loads of middle classes there at the time – just as there are now and it’s unlikely to ever change

I think that you’re comments are a bit OTT as you’re implying that only those people that make a lot of noise are true Palace fans which is a load of nonsense.

Some people like to sing and shout and leap around all the time whilst others prefer to watch the football but both can be classified as true fans.
