Also highlights how Giroud is way off being an elite striker. Nowhere near the likes of Suarez, RVP, Aguero etc

Disagree with this, they said the same about RVP. I believe Giroud will be a late bloomer like Robin Van Persie, one only has to look at his form during early season to know he has that good quality about him.

Certainly very good in the air with a good work ethic but he does lack that extra yard of pace.

Good article. LOVE Chamakh (up there with Chris Armstrong)

My only criticiam of Chamakh is that he seems to have lost a little confidence. There's been a few times recently where you would expect a striker to have a pop but he's laid it off. There's times where he needs to be more selfish.

I just hope we can keep hold of him next year

I agree with the emboldened part but I don't think he's ever fully regained his confidence since his arrival, I can't remember who it was against but he struck one from the edge of the box and it went in, that was an instinctive shot, when he has time to think he seems to pass on responsibility. Hopefully confidence will slowly return, I believe it is. It's amazing how much those library dwelling to$$ers can screw someone up.

Wasn't it Chelsea, no less?

No, it was at home, I think EagleLee79 has nailed it, Cardiff

Van Persie was one of the highest rated youngsters in the world when Arsenal picked him up, it was only injury problems that stalled his progression. Giroud just isn't that good. He's still yet to score against any of Chelsea, Utd or City. Arsenal will never win titles with him leading the line IMO.

With regards to Chamakh, he's never going to be a prolific goalscorer, even going back to his Bordeaux days, that wasn't his game, but his contribution to the team is massive, and he's certainly the best signing we've made in a long time.

TBH, he was already getting grief there and it's doubtful he'd have been given the time to get his confidence back at the Arse like he has here. Although in fairness, that's more to do with their fans than Wenger or the club themselves; if a forward isn't Bergkamp, Wright or Henry they're immediately pronounced "s***".

The fans who started leaving at 3-0 at Anfield, the fans who booed them off after their 0-0 with Man Utd...why would you ever want to play for such a bunch of cocks

Well said.

This is why I don't think we will see chamakh and Murray starting in the same side!
Begs the question though ! Who would you rather have?
Murray or chamakh !

For me chamakh and Ince will be first choice !
