I wonder how many times TP will complain to the refereeing body when Palace get a bad decision in their favour? Like a player makes a mistake, what can anybody do about that afterwards. Sweet FA. Move on and win the next poor decision.

Plane is quite correct. When you have a very bad official do something about it. FFS, if I get crap service in a shop I talk to the manager, don't you? Why is a linesman immune? If you don't make a fuss things will never change.

No I don't, life's too short; I just don't go there again. Continual whinging just gets yourself wound up, no one else.

I see a logical flaw in your 'just go somewhere else' analogy with match officials, it's a monopoly.

And anyway, when does feedback become whingeing? The opposite to doing something about it is moaning but doing nothing. Which is worse, being a moaner or a whinger, there's only one way to find out ....

I'm glad we have tony Pulis fighting our corner about time we stood up for ourselves,
Bad decisions are often forgotten for the smaller premier league teams ,there is no question we have had more big calls go against us this season.Even Dermot Gallagher on sky said Webb got it badly wrong last week and that decision could of changed the outcome.

The world was a mess but his hair was perfect!

What's the point of complaining? The officials weren't responsible for the fact we were outplayed ...and if I'm not mistaken, we are allowed to have more than a couple of shots at the opposition's goal? Webb and linesman had a bad day at the office. It happens!!!!. Let's hope we don't have another bad day of our own making tomorrow.

Mixed feelings about this, Webb was fecking useless and there should be some sort of consequence for him but at the same time I can;t help thinking it makes us look a bit small minded.

I don't, the linesman was more of a problem overall and was absolutely awful. He needs to be removed from Prem games. But Webb should certainly have used the red card too.

The Linesman was atrocious. Got more decisions wrong than right. He gave throw in to us which should've been to them, off sides when they were on, gave Southampton a goal kick when it was blatantly a corner to us. I could go on and on. I said to a pal I sit with during the game, if no one makes a complaint about this clown it'll be a miracle!

I was shocked at how poor the officials were. I had rated Webb because he had reffed a world cup final. He made a big mistake over the Bolasie foul and he was inconsistent too. I also thought he was up himself with his tight shorts. The lino at the Holmesdale end in the first half had a shocker. I was certain the Murray offside call was wrong even from where I was sitting and that has been confirmed. I wasn't so sure about the Ledley offside. But we could have scored from either of those. That and the Bolasie call tipped the match. We were outplayed by Southampton for much of the match and we didn't have much upfront - but that's why these incidents could prove decisive. It's about time we had a break against one of the top-half teams.

More evidence that Webb is up himself

Charging £4000 for an after-dinner speech!
I saw him give a talk to an umpires' AGM at Lords. He was pretty feeble and I just hope Lords didn't pay him £4000.

I can't see how you rated Webb at all after his performance in the world cup final, he was shocking in that game. As others have said if no one complains then he will carry on being s***. If people point these things out it gives him a chance to improve.

Webb was too busy giving it the big'un with the big names to do his job properly. The problem with referees is they develop ego problems. They start to believe that they are stars, when really they are just jealous and sad blokes who never got picked for the school team.

Maybe - using the Bolasie / Fonte incident as an example - it's the rules that need looking at.

Webb didn't issue a red card because he felt that Clyne was getting into a position as the ' last man '.

However, if you look at the trip by Fonte in isolation, he clearly didn't believe that to be case, or he wasn't even aware of Clyne's position. Therefore his intention was to take Bolasie out as he believed Bolasie was through on goal, which is what he did. So the punishment didn't really fit the crime.

All said and done, if that is the top ref in England it only highlights how poor the standard is at the moment.

No such thing as last man... Its "preventing a goal scoring opportunity" which happened ergo it should have been red

We were clean through on goal a through times with perfectly timed through balls only for the linesman to flag offside even though on many occasions it was on. The one shot on target stat is deceiving seeing as all our chances were stopped by dirty Southampton challenges and dodgy reffing and flagging. We were by no means great but we were not as bad and the whole result could of been different if not for the officials decision making.
