I am sure we are all now posting that it is Gestede we want after that goal !

Gomis vs Gestede has been an interesting one. Watching the game, I still stand by what Ive said previously; Gestede is the better option. Cheaper, younger, and would IMO suit our style of play far better than Gomis.

Not that you can judge on one game, but Gomis gets subbed after a poor 70 minutes, and Gestede is brought on and scores.

Of all the names mentioned Gestede fits our style perfectly. Big, strong, unplayable in the air and a real target man to aim for.

I'm finding it hard to change my view on gedestes mooted fee on his 20 minute appearance here.

If you want a player identified as suiting your style you pay the money if you are within range. If not, don't piss about quibbling and playing games.

Agreed. There are no guarantees with any signing but if you find someone who absolutely looks like fitting into the system and is hitting the ground running then they are good signs. I can see a dangerous little and large combination which would allow Gayle the space in behind he's so good at.
