I just think we should pay for him it's not very often you get a top rated striker available i know it's a lot but he's quality could make us a top 6 team i believe it will encourage other players to choose the palace too I think at 15million he is rather expensive but as you say, we do not often get a top rated striker being avaiable. What would his wages be? I reckon we would be a better bet for him than West Spam who look a bit dodgy to me.

Apparently he's going to west ham, although some have slashed odds on him going to chelsea. So who knows. I don't know how west Ham can still attract quality players. They've been crap for a while now, and they now have a completely unproven manager. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go down next year.
he would score a bucket load playing for us with the service he'll get from the flanks. as for West Spam i agree they will struggle with a manager with no prem experience. would love it if they went down playing championship football in their new stadium. West Ham to go down with Sunderland and Newcastle...

Austin looked very poor at Selhurst last season. Dann had him in his pocket...

If we are being quoted 8m for championship strikers like gedeste or Rhodes, then surely Austin, at 25 years old is worth 15m of anyone's money. He would be the upgrade on murray we need to push forward, and like somebody above said, playing with the service he would receive from wilf/yannick/punch (imagine cabaye aswell) and he could easily notch 20 pl goals next season.
