Why would they ? I don't see this at all given the economic performance of the Government who inherited a dire situation.

If David Miliband was party leader, Labour would walk it.

Hogwash.
People do not trust Labour with the economy and hopefully enough will not wish to throw away the gains made in the last 5 years.The Conservatives are building a strong economy and it would be criminal if we weren't allowed to finish the job.

At the end of the day the choice at this election is between the competence of a Conservative government or the chaos of Labour propped up by the SNP.

I had not called you that as it's not something I believe. I said that blindly following and agreeing with a political party is sad on a human level .

You don't firmly agree with Cameron really, because I doubt he truly believes that another party being voted in will literally cause 'chaos'. He just wants to stay in power and as you say articulates in a manner which he feels best serves that, which is a polite way of saying that all parties aren't averse to telling lies, some whiter than others.

I don't see politicians avoiding questions, lying, narrowly falling short of lying, or omitting facts as something to applaud. We can accept that spin happens in politics and that it plays well with voters, but the whole dynamic isn't really something that demonstrates our better selves. Our politicians do this frequently, regardless of party affiliation. The least we can do is acknowledge it.

We tend not to be too forgiving of politicians saying I don't know - and most interviews are pretty adversarial. We laugh when Paxman, Humphrys, Day, Redhead or the Dimblebies land a blow, but I doubt any of them could do much better.
