Not for me. I would much rather bring a proven, frontline forward like Remy, pair him with what we have now (Murray, Chamakh, etc.) and give any "spare" minutes to developing one of our own youngsters (Alleisani, Anderson, etc.) rather than developing one of Chelsea's. Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Not sure it's in our best interest to develop a player unproven at this level. Unless it's a loan with an option to buy. Think we have to look to either bring in a marquee frontman with top level experience or put faith in our own boys. Bamford is somewhere in between

Why is that then? Typical over hyped youngster , suppose you think he is amazing because he is a Chelsea youngster? Rhodes , Austin , Murray and gestede all have superior records at championship level , and remy , well it's not even a fair comparison. And Chelsea value him at ten million....

It's slightly harsh to claim people only like this lad because he plays for Chelsea. Pay attention to life outside the prem and you'll see a terrific prospect. Scores all types of goals and can play as a number 9 or a deeper role. Would I prefer Remy?! Of course. Would I prefer Rhodes, well not exactly. If anything bamford's adaptability would prove more useful. However, if we were to make a move it should be a permanent one. I wouldn't want us to be part of developing a Chelsea player. Would I prefer Remy?! Of course. Would I prefer Rhodes, well not exactly. If anything bamford's adaptability would prove more useful. However, if we were to make a move it should be a permanent one. I wouldn't want us to be part of developing a Chelsea player.

Overall, anyone who watches all levels of football, rather than just the prem, can confirm he's a lovely little player and at his age has bags of potential.

I'd love us to sign some young English talent. I can remember us getting Shipperley for approximately £1m and being delighted; add to that Freedman from Barnet, Jansen, Marcus Bent. Not keen on the loan scenario, but a full purchase could be great and the ROI doesn't have to be 2015/2016.
