The man prevented from boarding a train by Chelsea fans says he has been unable to work since, is on medication, unable to travel on public transport and is 'destroyed' - oh and his children are 'traumatised'. Claim for loads of compensation in the offing?

You can bet your eye teeth this clown is angling for a big compo payment. Most of us dust ourselves down and get on with it, but this joker is either an extremely sensitive prick, or he's pulling the wool. I know which one I'd bet on. Don't get me wrong, no one should suffer racist abuse, but to have to be on medication and not to be able to travel on public transport is a total joke.

Have you ever had a video of yourself being abused aired to a GLOBAL audience?
Thought not.

some of us have TUX.

I still get the monthly cheques.

Do you know the family? Have you witnessed what they may/may not have experienced since a video went viral? How would you react?

Why not make a thread concerning the pr-cks who caused the problem yet STILL denied it in court despite the evidence?

Some yobs stopping a guy getting on a train. Hardly a lynching is it. If something like that can 'destroy' his life, then he needs to get one in the first place.

100% agree. He ain't got a very strong constitution has he?

Forgot the racism. Again.

Oh I see, we have to hark back to the racism everytime do we? Even though we all know what the threads about eh?
Whoops! I forgot the racism again!

...more the utter humiliation, imagine being picked out verbally because of your skin and then stopped from being where you want to be........in front of lots of other people, can you actually imagine that! obviously not by your reaction so far, you have no idea at all how he feels, coupled by the fact that it all went viral and the whole world watched while he allowed himself to be treated like that, he must feel extremely humiliated for allowing it to have happened.

How do you know? I might have done. Anyway he's the victim so most people sympathise with him so he's got nothing to be worried about. He's hardly been beaten by a woman has he? Now that would be embarrassing. Like I said, nobody should suffer racist abuse, but nobody should milk it either. It shows more character to NO let the racists get to you. By being a wimp he's letting them win. Pretty pathetic really.

Oh dear.

Yep, that's what I think of this guy too.

..once you've taken sides you have to keep going don't you or you lose face, imagine how you would feel if someone on here made you change your words against your will and you were forced to write that you had sympathy for the victim, you would feel a little bit humiliated and upset and probably go to bed crying.

Perhaps we should all have a minutes silence with heads bowed at the opening day of the new football season - or maybe have the crowds (well the white members anyway) chanting 'unclean' and 'we are not worthy' etc?

My guess would be the guy actually has a laugh with his mates about these English dickheads fitting the hooligan stereotype which we are all tarred with, something I personally experienced while in Berlin for the Palace friendly.

Even in the eyes of the law it was non-physical, which leaves only the verbal which was in a language he didn't understand. I know one of you is going to ask me how I know he doesn't speak English. Let me find out.

As for the perceived humiliation, the argument was that the train was full. I have the same trouble every morning.

People are suggesting he's milking it while others are adamant that he must be deeply traumatised because we can't prove otherwise.

I'm not defending these scum but I'm pretty sure there are 3 people here arguing for the sake of it. Either that or they're of the sort who take offence on everyone else's behalf.

Who have got what's coming to them as far as the law allowed (although I would have to look at why an offence they committed in France was tried here)...obviously a horrible little group of c*nts who wouldn't have done this if it had they not been in a group - had it been one on one not in a million years would anyone of them have done this by the looks of them...

The victim however does give the impression to be milking this for all its worth which seems symptomatic if the society we live in now

That's right blame the victim. He is subject to racist bullying and you decide you know how he should feel afterwards.

It's the age we live in though.

Who's to say that he isn't milking this for all it's worth?

I'm sure a load of Blame/Claim lawyers wet their pants watching that video at the thought of their cut of any likely compo payout.

Your right he might be.

I Just think it odd to come on and blame the victim not the racists. If someone runs into the back of your car and injures you; you might want to play it for all its worth - but you were still injured because someone went into the back of your car

If you're a complete c***, you might.

Optimistic as ever

Not even the same scenario is it? I never said I didn't have sympathy for the victim, but it is quite obvious he's after a payout. And no I don't cry about playground sh1te like that. It shows more character just to get on with it. God only knows why everyone has to be oh so touchy about it.

A good post and reflects my view on the whole situation. The Chelsea supporters who did this are obviously scum and no one condones what they did. What we're talking about here is the compensation culture that seems to have become oh so familiar these days. You've hit the nail on the head.
