Anyone who defends pigeons is clearly a lunatic and boycotting French produce is just what Putin has done.

Marks for the smoking ban though.

Hard to tell if The Mirror are ridiculing him or not. I agree with quite a number of those on that list.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I think it's an attempt to ridicule him but doesn't really work because the motions are not as absurd as they would ideally have liked them to be.

Yeah I mean they've accidentally included 2 or 3 a sane person might agree with.

Plus the Beefeater Gin one which is conflictingly nationalistic for the likes of him.

I think a lot of lefties must actually prefer a Tory government, because it means they can spend all day ranting and posting on social media about how 'unfeeling' and 'cruel' they are.

Then they vote in someone like Corbyn because it makes them feel good about their 'principles'.

And when there's a Tory landslide, they blame the Murdoch press. And tell themselves that the electorate really wants socialism but is denied it by 'the establishment'. Or that voters aren't as clever or enlightened as us lefties with our 'correct' world view.

Well its lucky we didn't have a decade of that with people who were right wing slagging of Labour....

Question is of course, if there is a Tory landslide, five years can see a lot of change. I don't really know many lefties who vote Labour either (most of them seem to vote Green).

I'd say maybe about half of the electorate who actually vote pay no attention to politics until a couple of months before the election, when they tend to pick either red or blue. The rest tend to be stuck in their ways and will argue all day about politics without ever changing their vote.

It's the swing voters who decide the election, and they will simply hear "more taxes" and vote blue. I don't know how many times Labour need to get spanked at an election with a lefty leader before they realise it only spells Conservative victories. Unless, of course, Jonny Eagles is right which I suspect he is. Lefties love a whinge.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

So, by this logic, a left leader will never be elected?

Since 1970

Won- Wilson, Blair.
Lost - Foot, Kinnock, Brown, Miliband.

Can you see a pattern there?

Not really. Kinnock, Wilson and Foot arguably were all left wing, whilst Blair, Brown and Miliband were right of center
