After a heavy night in Camberwell I caught the 468 home to South Norwood once. Fell asleep and woke up in Old Coulsdon. I had to get off and sit in the freezing cold for half an hour before being allowed back on the same bus to go back the other way. I fell asleep again and woke up in West Norwood. I walked home.

I'd rather be a FREE MAN in my grave
than living as a PUPPET or a SLAVE

Strangely there is another station on the DLR called Mud Chute and I would have thought this may have been closer to Upton Park.

Mud Chute is an anagram of Duet Chum

All good. Nothing bad.

We've decided to get the train to Spain rather than fly. Has saved us about 500 sovs.

Should be drier too. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that Spanish precipitation is predominately attracted to aerial vehicles.

Thanks for that, I was worried about getting wet whilst using a tool to take small amounts of wood off of a plank outdoors.

I always wondered why boring, grey and mundane Spanish natives were always moist

Thanks for the correction by the way. And the 'good grief'. I particularly enjoyed that bit.

My friend got run over by a steam train.
He was chuffed to bits.

The Great Western Railway was a let down. A fistful of Dollars was great but the rest were meh!

Suns breaking through here now, could be a nice evening.

In the woods there grew a tree. And a fine fine tree was he.

My brother in law tried to steal a train once. He was trying to get home pi$$ed in south London somewhere and the train journey stopped one stop before the end of the line for a crew change. There was no crew and after sitting there for a bit he decided to take matters into his own hands and drive it the final stop.

Problem was he couldn't drive a train and couldn't get it started. Got a round of applause off all the people on it as the police took him away. The police then dropped him home!

This was the mid 70s. How times have changed (on a number of levels).
