That makes more some sense if FFP restrictions reasons are totally genuine.

However we don't seem to shy from giving players better contracts. Although I guess giving say, Souare a contract that earns him an extra (purely a guess for example purposes) £500,000 per year is different from bringing someone in for £1.5m per year.

Wouldn't the American money, even though it's ear-marked for stadium plans, count as a bumper increase in turnover though?

Increase in turnover can't come from investment by owners, only from revenue streams like merchandising, season ticket sales, player sales etc.

However, on the flip side, losses for non playing costs don't count towards FFP too, so you can spend money on the ground and training facilities and it doesn't count towards what's calculated against your FFP quota.

*I think*

Err no! These are realistic signings given club position; board & management achievement coupled with realistic aspirations and what we SHOULD be affording given the crazy transfer market TO DATE. I have no doubt that Pardew could bring out the best of these highlighted incoming players as long as they are driven to raise their game within a Palace shirt first & foremost.

The club might be trying to break even/turn a profit. So irrespective of the permittable losses in the FFP rules, they may not still be able to invest.

Way too many changes for my liking, will upset the team chemistry quite a bit with all those transfers in a january window.

All very well but noone's going to take Chamakh off our hands given his wages / injuries / ineffectiveness. Similarly nobody's going to buy Mutch for anywhere remotely near the £5m that Pardew crazily paid for him.

Also selling puncheon would be very stupid!

Far too many changes ...our problems would just multiply. For me a couple of goalscorers although I do like the sound of Diame.

I was wondering if FFP is a problem for us, what is the situation regarding Bournemouth? They have spent a serious amount money!
