Fcuk the sugar tax...... that is just a sideshow/gimmick to take away the attention from some of the real nasty stuff going on.

Why is Osborne targeting disabled people for cuts?

Many of you will know I have Parkinson's Disease and as a sufferer I know how devastating a chronic disease like that can be to your life. Thousands are worse off than me with more advanced Parkinson's or Multiple Sclerosis sufferers for example.

I am financially secure thank heavens, but many sufferers rely on benefit payments for their continued daily existence and these cuts will hit them hard.

If we had a credible opposition, instead of the Labour Party under Corbyn who are effectively the blind leading the blind, Osborne would not have the balls to even suggest such an idea, let alone set out the way he will actually implement these cuts in a Budget.

Before anyone says it, I did not vote Tory last time round or even before that... I am a UKIP supporter and I know Farage would not sanction such treatment of the most vulnerable members of out society like this.

Shame on you Osborne (and for using the Budget speech to promote the EU Stay campaign - the speaker should have called him to order!)

You lefty hippy spot on bender.

Worked out I'm going to be about £140 better off with the increased personal allowance and higher rate band. Going to set up a £10 a month DD to a disabled charity from April.

That is commendable young Daniel.

But if we weren't wasting Billions on propping up the EU the Government could provide the disabled with enough help and financial support for them to lead fulfilling lives.

That would leave you free to help the Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) who also need help to rehome ex racing dogs who are needlessly and callously put down right now!

I wasn't aware that bicycle seat sniffing was a disability.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Sugar tax is flawed for a number of reasons

What really gets my goat, is that pretentious prick Jamie Oliver. Celebrating when most of the desserts in his restaurant are sugar laden and have more than a can and a half of Coke's worth of sugar.

Well yes, its flawed, but in principle its a revenue stream, that's akin to that with alcohol and tabacco - and direct regulation of fats and sugars in foods is never going to happen.

Jamie Oliver can f**k off because he is a c**t. He's won nothing, given its the most minor gesture to target soft drinks (the popularity of sugar soft drinks is fairly low).

Although I agree with the sugar tax....to a certain extent.

Parents need to be educated, kick the kids off the Playstaion/pc/laptop/whatever,and make them go outside and PLAY if you eat or drink something thats sugery..go out and work it off.

They'd need to play an incredible amount. There is a real problem with sugars in solution in terms of insulin production, due the lack of fibre, it gets absorbed immediately, rather than over time. As such the amount converted isn't proportional to eaten sugars, its much higher.

Whilst I'm sure the documentary 'Fed Up' is somewhat bias, its quite eye opening.

Don't bet with betfair then.

The decline in the Greyhound Fund is partly due to some choosing not to contribute from certain formats, such as online or overseas trade, or in the case of Betfair ceasing all contributions.

Greyhounds have been abused for decades sadly.

Yes you're right though Stuk, if possible bet with bookmakers that take Dog's welfare seriously and don't abandon them after their short careers are over.

Horses welfare has been addressed, now lets be kind to greyhounds too!

Always bet in shops.

1) The revenue is not squirreled away in Gibraltar/The Cayman's
2) They pay into the horse and dog funds
3) They employ people in the UK

The Prime Minister had to do a deal with the EU to scrap the VAT on ladies' sanitary products.

He shouldn't have to get permission from foreigners to lift a tax in the UK.

And there are people who think this is a good thing...
