Could de-rail but I think it will go ahead. It's complex as he should sell at a discount having not had a good season but the market went up due to the TV deal. So how do you value now? Sullivan thinks we are paying too high a salary. I have to agree that probably worries me more than the asking price, could create a knock-on effect and morale issues.

It's none of his business what Palace pay players. If Steve Parish - of all people given how prudent he is - is willing to pay a certain salary, then I don't see an issue. It's all about how much value you place on things....let's see how much he coughs up to Payet when they offer him a new contract. In terms of " morale issues ", I get what you're saying, but I think we have already been through that and come out the other side after we signed Cabaye. If a player is added to the squad that can enhance our prospects then all the players benefit through bonuses etc.

Gamesmanship, poker, dodgy dealing - my word is my bond NOT. All the familiar characteristics of trying to nail down a transfer with crooks. Contrast how easily the other three transfers went through. We're better off out of this and find someone who actually wants to come to Palace. Parish's comments in the US show how p*ssed off he is.
