The same Conservatives and right wing that were constantly on and on about Brown not being elected. I don't think we need an election now, but we do before we make any real plans about leaving the EU and negotiating our way out of the EU.

At least with Brown, going into that last Blair election it was well established that Brown would be taking over. Certainly not the case here. I don't think we need to rush into an election, but we do need one that has party manifestos for what an exit will look like.

Its important to remember that a leave vote doesn't correspond with a vote for the government - quite the opposite - its resulted in the resignation of the UK PM of a government that largely were 'remain'.

For doing the job of opposition. Its a political opportunity for every party. This may be one of the biggest democratically decided decisions in the history of the UK - Its important that every political party capitalise and set out their stall on how their party will represent the population of the UK out of the EU.

I am confused, and will appreciate comment.

In 2015 Dave was elected on a manifesto that included the referendum. He has a Mandate to take the country out of the European Union; has he decided that after arranging for the arguments to be presented he can opt out of leading the country as it has decided. An election will just delay matters and could potentially give us a diet of Euro-fudge - rather than the preferred Devon Fudge.
