Excellent. I don't remember the Beetle as much as I do the Fiat. The Beetle looks much smarter.

If/when I have kids I will be switching off the MCB every Sunday afternoon and telling them it's a power cut so we can all play Subbuteo under candle lit floodlights.

For the terminally afflicted you could get a mini-Her Majesty the Queen with FA Cup to present at your subbuteo Cup Final. Also a 'streaker'! Subbuteo tried to become an olympic sport so there must be sets in roof space in many countries. Someone bring it back please...

I didn't care about whether it was realistic for a woman about 25 times the height of my players legging it across my pitch because I also knew that a woman with such thin legs and enormous bosoms would be too top heavy to run anywhere anyway. This thread has made me realise though, that I could derive as much pleasure from playing Subbuteo now as I did when I was a lad. And now with the added benefit of having the funds for floodlights. After building a pretty accurate Selhurst Park in Minecraft, I was recently tempted to build a very large scale model of the Holmesdale out of Lego (with working floodlights and lit walkways) but I knew that if I did that my Mrs would make me throw my weights bench away to make space for it. Still not sure I've made the right choice. I urgently need children to justify my follies.
