Nope. Its very sad that the media in this country chose to downgrade a massive story in its capital in favour of a foreign election. I wouldn't even bother responding to him. He just likes to play devils advocate. Back to the tragic events of yesterday, the Croydon Advertiser have released the name of one of the victims. Dane Chinnery, 19 and a huge Palace fan. The first victim of the tragic tram crash which claimed the lives of seven people in Croydon yesterday has been named by friends this morning. Dane Chinnery, who was just 19 years old and a former Addington High pupil, was an avid Crystal Palace fan - and a campaign has started for there to be a special tribute to him during the Eagles' next home game. Writing to the Croydon Advertiser to pay tribute to Dane, Billie-Joe Ingrams said: "I am writing to show my respects for such a great friend of mine who has lost their life. "Dane was the highlight of our year group in high school, there was never a dull moment nor any anger or dispute to be had with him. The overturned tram is likely to remain on the tracks for most of today "He was one of the rare ones who kept in contact even after high school. He was there for me through a lot and I loved him like a brother, I'll never forget him and it is horrible to see such a great person go." Another friend, Sid Richardson, has also paid a moving tribute. Sid said: "Dane was a young gentleman who made friends not enemies, peace not war and created love where there was hate. "The way he lived is a life lesson to many of us that knew Dane." Calling for there to be a special tribute at Selhurst Park, Sid added: "If we can get a minute's silence at Crystal Palace's next home game against Manchester City to remember the beautiful lives lost [in the tram crash] that would be great." The tram which crashed is expected to remain overturned on the tracks close to Sandilands tram stop for most of today while investigations into the cause of the crash continue. The driver has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and it has been confirmed that early indications are that the tram was travelling "significantly higher" than the speed it should have been when it crashed on a tight left-hand bend having just come out of a tunnel.

The missus knows his cousin and aunt, this isn't the first tragedy for the family. It's at times like this you see how Croydon is an urban village, this affects us all.
