hes gotta be sacked before he takes us down, and spunks a load ofcash whilst hes at it.

it would be worth taking the hit on paying up his contract.

Great idea! Whom do you suggest we get instead? Ah.

That's the difference. Pardew and pulls came into teams who were fighting and had spirit and gave them a system that worked to enable their performances to match the spirit they had.

Sam has come in to a situation where all spirit has been drained so has to find both a system that works and build up spirit. A far harder task.

Braunston- you won't answer why you have pardew so long but not Sam?

I'm hearing that Schlupp's problem was just cramp again. Not confirmed, but hope it's correct.

Administrations aside, not sure I can remember us being in such a bad position. Yes, we've fought off relegation in the Championship but we had players who were playing for the shirt and some team spirit but this mob we've got now?!

Thank f*ck it was only the cup but another thumping and not scoring again, adds another nail in our lack of confidence / belief coffin. Can't see us turning things around by Tues evening either!

I reckon Sam is sh*tting himself at the min, thinking how on earth did I end up here! Haha

I fail to see why people are getting upset by losing today.

The league is our priority.

Having a go at Allardyce is pointless. He inherited a mess. If you demand scapegoats then look no further than Steve Parish and Alan Pardew.

I've never been a huge fan of SA but he was the only credible candidate when Pardew was fired - unless your preference is for an inexperienced manager from a lower league or a foreign coach with no track record in English football.

The club has made some good if expensive purchases in the transfer market - a quality defensive midfielder would still be welcome imo - but it's time to be supportive of the man in charge instead of yearning for the previous incompetent incumbent.

Look at Pep and Mourinho it's taken them time and they have far better quality available.

You can't just walk into a job and think because they are top manager you turn things around instant there is a lot of stuff that is poor at the club that needs fixing clealry Sam didn't know this now he is here he has seen what a mess everything is (he wouldn't of taken the job had he know in advance)

sorry but thats just not true, i said all along i didnt mind if pardew was sacked but he had to be replaced with a better manager, something that sam wasnt & has shown he isnt.

all this standard speil being spouted about pardew sucked the spirit & fight out of the players simply isnt true either

we were competing and looking like a decent team in every game, even if results wernt showing it. we did have fight & spirit we were losing concentration and comceding goals at critical times...something we are still doing.

if anything sam has sucked the spirit & fight out of the team, all during a time he was meant to be having the new manager effect.

That's all we need.

By way of today's game, City's midfield & attack simply gave masterclass performance to Palace.
