Some Man City fans were asking why the game was so badly attended. Presumably £25 a ticket was too steep.

And no doubt many did not see any point paying to watch Palace lose to what was always going to be a superior side.

Decent turn out in our position IMO.

I couldn't face going. Not ashamed to admit it.

It's the end of January so money is tight, we were clearly going to rest some players and almost certainly lose. You could have charged £10 and I doubt it would have been that much better.

When you've seen us lose so many home games in recent years, the thought of paying out another £25 to be disappointed is too much.

I choose to go to watch us lose against Bournemouth on Tuesday night instead.

But if Wayne was a better keeper we would not lose so many matches and the stadium would be fuller that's why people do not pay £25 to watch Wayne let in so many goals!....

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Whatever way you look at it Steve Parish got what he wanted.

He'd rather have nearly 14,000 with a top price of £25 than 20-25,000 paying a tenner at the most.

Never mind the fact more fans would have attended/better atmosphere etc with the shortfall being made up by his Premier multi-millions.

It was always how much the club could bank that was going to be the deciding factor.

Nice one Steve!

We would have never got 25,000 for that game, no matter the cost.
