I remember Malcolm Allison playing a couple of games without a recognized striker. Away at West Brom 1973 Whittle and Possee on the Wings. A really windy day 0-0 at H/T, turned them over 4-0 second half. Another season he did it again at Notts Forest 1974 this time Possee and Rogers on the Wings we won 2-1. PS Both seasons we were relegated.!!!!! Palace 13th 2017/18.

Regards strikers, Huddersfield have signed 2 new players in pre-season, Mounie and Depoitre for a total of approx £15 Mill. They also signed, on a permanent basis, Kachunga who was on loan to them, for £1.1 Mill.In total their expenditure in pre-season has been in the region of £35 Mill.

Butterfield's hat-trick was in an FA Cup forth round replay (when interestingly Hennessey was in goal for Wolves) and wasn't a feat he was able to repeat.

Johnson joined us from Birmingham as a striker. He was used as a winger in his brief England sojourn.

Yes I think it was a League Cup game at Selhurst in the mud and he scored against Chelsea.

In 74 I went to Forest on a 100cc motor bike.
Because we won I thought the bike was a lucky charm.
Alas it wasn't we went down to the old third division.!!
