To many on here being from a 'Middle Class' background is anathema. I am from a middle class background, I have friends who came from a working class background - we get on fine thank you very much. I sent my daughter to a private school as I could afford it - I worked hard to be able to give her that education.I know people from a working class background who have done the same.Good luck to them I say. And I used to know 'Left-Wing' teachers in state schools who despised the Private system - guess where they sent their offspring ? I loved JRMs comments "the thin gruel has been further watered down" in relation to Cameron's negotiations with the EU ! I have not met JRM. He is the local MP of an old friend of mine who lives outside Bath.He has met JRM and told me some while ago that he can talk with authority on a range of subjects so his knowledge of topics "Across the board" is impressive.
