I'm so proud the team I support, managed to produce 2 players that went on to be International Team managers, as well as numerous Home Grown International squad players. Amazing if you look at the stadium and facilities we had then. It's not much better now, and that's why I agree with SP, we need to look to our Youth. I have faith in such a player as FDB, to inspire the team we have. Wish I could say the same for our fans. Who on whole seem brainwashed in thinking the modern way is about fast instant success or else !!! OUT. I hope Steve has the courage to stay on the plan. I'd rather Parish's plan than your's. Stick with Frank no matter what. Relegation, under 10 points. You've made that clear.

Until he kept getting pulled up over the fact football wasn't invented in 1992! Some people believe the hype, some don't. Noades oversaw that period, he was good at spotting players, but his bad points far outweigh his good point.

You also claim that he held the club back by selling it but holding on to the freehold. More fool Mark Goldberg for buying it on that basis You finished with one of your typical snidey comments "But for some reason you think he was our best chairman?" but if you read the post properly you will see that he was referring to success under Noades not whether or not he was our best Chairman and there is no doubt that the Noades era was our golden era

The independent didn't say different, the independent said Noades said his comments were taken out of context. Which is a hugely different thing. Of course Noades is gonna deny he's a racist. And then you releave Noades of blame over the ground by just blaming it all on Goldberg. Ok yeah talk about rose tinted glasses...

If you walk into Sainsbury and pick up three mouldy peaches to buy is that your fault or Sainsbury's? Buying a company is exactly the same and it is ALWAYS down to the buyer to perform due diligence. Ron Noades saw that Goldberg was a naïve mug and took advantage of it. I assume that the comment about wearing rose tinted glasses was just the next in line to be used from your book of clichés as it's as ridiculous as it is inaccurate

But I'd also say that it showed that Noades gave not two f***ers about Palace. Goldberg shouldn't have done that deal and if Noades wanted to do right by Palace he shouldn't have either. Just becuase Goldberg was foolish doesn't releave Noades of the shocking state he left Palace in. Oh but let's forget that and just blame Goldberg. Ok !

He struck gold with Steve Coppell at the time and with a bit of investment we'd have challenged the very best.
