We all get angry/disappointed/upset etc at games, but there is a line between that and shouting abuse at one of our players and shouting the name of the other keeper. How is that ever going to help? On viewing the goals, yes Hennessey should have done better with the 3rd goal which seemed to take him by surprise, but the others he could do nothing about. This season we have massive problems throughout the team - poor defence, weak midfield, a forward who cannot score any goals - and goalkeepers (yes plural) not making saves perhaps they ought to be making, so it really is unfair to single out one player for this abuse. It's all reminiscent of the Sunderland home game last season.

I suspect most of these so-called fans weren't around in the mid-80s when we really poor and had the likes of Brian Basson, David Price, Chris Jones, Tommy Langley, Gary Stebbing etc. This is still the most successful period in the club's history. Players are not deliberately playing badly - perhaps all the constant changing of managers/coaches had had a bad effect on them. Let's support the players not abuse them.

I agree that players shouldn't get abuse unless their shift isn't up to scratch but basing standards on 30 years ago isn't a healthy one either. We know what the players need to do and can do on Saturday. It's the same as Chelsea. Match and win your personal battles and nobody can ask more than that. If the chairman has fvcked up leaving you with nobody to notch as in Newcastle then it's not their fault. It is if they do not compete, at the level they are at and are paid for being qualified to deliver in is when they're responsible.

You cannot blame a sales support for not reaching sales targets but you can blame the salesman if he hasn't tried to set up enough appointments.

It really is that simple v West Ham. Who wants it? Really wants it.

Social media has a lot to answer for. Years ago you vented your excitement / displeasure about the results or team down the pub, to the person sat next to you at a game or indoors. Now people can rant and rave all day and all night long on a variety of places online.

The general feeling I have most weeks is people really need to calm down. Win against Chelsea great feeling . Lovely. Superb atmosphere. It was selhurst at it's best. There's nothing wrong with some optimism but my god people seriously lost their heads and all sense of reason after it. Same when we lose. Everyone goes to pieces. Keep calm and wait for the next game is my outlook

Why is it that anyone who critisises the club/players 'weren't there when we were s**t' it's because I was there that I get really angry at the way we appear to be throwing our chance of staying in thd top division away. When we were s***, we knew we were s**t, and in the main had s**t players. But now, in thd main, we have good, and in some cases very good players, and we shouldnt be fighting relegation every season. Our biggest problem has been not getting a decent manager who wants to stay with us for a while. Why that is I can only speculate, but we are a decent premiership club, with decent players and decent fans, so why can't wd attract a decent manager who's going to stay long term. So yes I was there when we were s**t, and I'll be there saturday singing all game, but don't expect me not to critisise if we fall flat on our faces again and continue to throw away our 'golden ticket'.

Watford have had a succession of managers since the Pozzo family took over in June 12 but they are not doing too badly at all on account of their infrastructure and organisation behind the scenes.

They very much treat their manager as a coach and the backroom team take care of the scouting, recruitment etc etc etc beieving that the manager cannot do everything. They have a manager depart, another comes along and their infrastructure just carries on as before.
