Absolutely. I honestly cannot believe that Friend can repeatedly look at the footage and not see what football fans, ex-players, managers, pundits and referees have seen. My impression is that he didn't have the strength of character to go by his initial decision and was in collusion with Pawson to award the penalty. What did they see that no one else has seen? The condemnation of the decision is across the board, and incidents like this bring the game into disrepute. Is the FA paying attention?

I for one never doubted it was a genuine question and as I stated Gallagher has gone against the referee's decision on a number of occasions over the years.

Apropos "Inconsistency", my opinion,for what it is worth,is that whenever subjective decisions are being made there will always be a level of inconsistency.

Contrary to what is often portrayed on HOL, I have never asserted that referees are infallible, they are human after all and err from time to time in pressure situations.
Maybe I have given this impression and if so it is more a case of me not expressing myself as well as others do.I have to bow down to others in this respect.
