Clearly Ayew is one person at fault, but even after he gave the ball away Brentford had possession at Centre Back, in their own half, and Palace had 11 men behind the ball with 30 seconds to go. It's not like he gave the ball away on the edge of the box, left us out of position, and there was nothing anyone could do to salvage it. We should be defending that comfortably.

In fact, defensively, we're probably in an even better position having given the ball away than we would have been had Ayew run down the line and been tackled.

I don't need your screen shots thanks, I was at the game.

Everyone around me could see what was opening up after Ayew gave the ball away.

At the risk of repeating myself, yes, Palace could still have defended the situation better. But they wouldn't have had to if Ayew had game managed possession better.

It happened , we drew 1-1 , probably coming , I thought it was coming 15 minutes before the end wouldn’t have been so gutted if they scored earlier but we got a point , a point that was unexpected and viera needs to drill that into the players now , we have got good points out of last few games we CANNOT dwell on that late equaliser or it will destroy us

“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

Agreed. Take some positives away.

Up until that point we were managing comfortably enough against a team that even the best have struggled with.

Yup. Site divided between those who complain we can't beat Brentford or Brighton and those who commend the fact that neither can beat us.

Read my original post on this subject in which I said it was a shame because Ayew had an otherwise very good game !

Couldn’t be bothered to go through pages of negativity.

If it's positivity you're looking for then HOL isn't for you at the moment

Totally agree, they have lost one game at home all season.
Just to support your view re Ayew. Why did he try to find Eze? And for those criticising Eze’s defending, look how far upfield he was

This picture suggests that it should have been a certain goal for Palace!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

..yes and who created that opportunity in the first place, the poor player who everyone likes to hate including the opposition, bloke gets booted to death every single bloody game.
To me personally he is by far our best dribbler of the ball and that's why he gets clobbered ..not because he's looking for it.

Yes, but the picture can't be right because it looks like Edouard was running.
