Going back 41 years, we once kicked off away to Orient at 11.30am on a Sunday morning, and that was before Sunday football was even a thing

Bournemouth away in 2020, our first fixture after COVID was a 19:45 kick off on a Saturday night and was shown live on the BBC. As no fans were allowed in, does this count?

A 7.45 Saturday KO is pretty rare. I don't think it is a first but I don't recall Palace having a PL game at this time on a Saturday.

Having said that I do have a vague memory of their being a Saturday evening KO back in the mid 60s.

Anyway, I would rather it was earlier.

Sorry, ignore my previous post, I meant to reply to this one. We played on Saturday night for our first game back after covid against Bournemouth, which was live on BBC, but of course there were no fans allowed in.

I live locally so no real issue with me.

Ironically it actually works better, can spend the day with the kids and still escape early enough for a couple of beers in the parsons. Missis gets to watch all the trash Sat night TV without me tutting

I think I was at that game, we used to play them a lot in those days.

We did, in fact we played them a few days before in the FA Cup replay where Neil Smillie scored the winner, I went to both games and the Sunday one was dreadful after the excitement of the cup game

Saw that Liverpool used two team buses. Questions

So the tired out players could start sleeping (beds instead of seats) before the M25?

They have more than 50 players and team support going to away matches?

An elite coach and one for the also rans (Mr. Klopp and players who gained a yellow card, or were lucky to stay on the pitch as elite)?
