really think we should be all over this…lost his way last few seasons but the ability is clearly there…ticks all the box’s for a palace transfer.

Of course, he also ticks a few boxes you'ld rather have left unchecked e.g. neither of the last two clubs he played for wanted him and he'd be the highest-paid player on the squad

yeah its a gamble…but any player we buy is a gamble, if i were to choose from him for £6m or gray for £10m in would take him i think.

local lad aswell, may feel at home with the other young flair players we have…the wage thing of £100k a week doesnt sit great with me tbf, but beggers cant be choosers

My initial reaction was a no, but upon looking at his stats he’s 22 years old , has made more than 100 senior appearances and has a dozen goals and a number of assists.
I’m not sure what’s caused his fall from grace in recent seasons - injury, attitude or the basket case that is Chelsea which means expensive signings take priority over their own talented youngsters?
Ideally you’d want him on loan with an option to buy to see if he can rediscover his form , but I doubt that would be an option.

I'm not so sure he'd get massive wages. Big enough but not 100k or anything. What he's on now wouldn't necessarily be matched. He could get a large enough signing on fee - which wouldn't be too bad with a low transfer fee. Just total guessing but one or two mil signing on fee and around 65k a week or so on a two year contract wouldn't seem too outlandish. He'd be around upper average paid in our squad then.
The reason I think he'd be handy for us is he's young - so could still have a point to prove. He's local enough as he'd likely want London. However, my main reason is his ability to play in all three advanced midfield positions. Surely very handy for us. Really, for a squad with any type of cover we'd get two wingers - if we don't have much money then Gray and Hudson-Odoi. Perhaps not brilliant but surely mid table adequate. Both could fail, both could improve or either could work out. There are no real guarantees on any transfer.
I remember thinking Gareth Taylor would work out and that Davids could probably do a good job. How wrong I was, but obviously I wasn't the only one.

I’m of the same mindset. Ideally we need both CHO and Franca, but as we all know we are cheap so that will never happen. If you are weighing up these two risk wise you’d maybe go with CHO imo. Would imagine CHOs wages would be the issue why we have seemingly sidestepped

I agree.. we should be leveraging our relationship with Chelsea. Ticks a lot of boxes

Agree. Of all the wingers we seem consistently linked with CHO appears to have the highest ceiling. I suspect his wage expectations might be getting the way but a London lad with his quality would be an excellent signing

I can’t help but wonder if they try to leverage him on an Olise deal. I obviously don’t want Olive to leave but we clearly like Hall and CHO and Chelsea want Olise. Whereas reports say Chelsea want Hall to sign a contract, CHO is being shown the door. Interesting one to watch

Does not the reference to Fulham provide some clue on ultimate destination?

They have screwed us twice this month ,with Olise,,and Hall , wouldnt crawl to them. Helping them in their creative accounting. Hudson -Odoi, has a lot of question marks anyway, why has he been off the boil for so long.?
