Highly entertaining game that was destined for goals based on both teams form.

Set prices are a weakness, whichever coach is out there and very keen on the job that is a clear area we need to improve.
Besides this we outplayed West Ham. Ayew up front is our best option, so good at linking up the play and drawing fouls.

Never a penalty for me, but can anyone confirm my memory that we scored anyway after it bounced out, I thought one of our players drilled it bottom corner……or am I remembering that wrong?

Playing with smiles and freedom that we never showed under vieira, I was disappointed it didn’t work out with him but I always pay attention to player behaviour and it’s clear the team were relieved with a point to prove after he left.

On to the next game and great to enjoy the run in and give Roy and Ray a great send off for a fantastic job done. Further cementing Roy’s status at the club

Really tough call for Roy but as a fan I’m happy to have them both and wouldn’t be dissapointed If either one started

That's right, someone did slam it in but by then Craig Slow-watch Pawson had blown up.

I go away for one week.........
Sounds like it was an amazing game with the only downside being that we let in three goals from corners.
Other than that - what's not to like!

When Eze went down after that horrendous tackle, the ball ended up in the net, was that before or after the refs whistle? Appeared to be before as I was watching it. If that is the case, was the penalty needed from a referring stance.

Pardew sitting behind Steve P in the Directors' box?

I understand some criticisms but in all honesty I couldn’t care less now haha.

We were miles better than them, I’m actually quite surprised how rubbish they were, can’t remember anything from them in open play.

Them scoring three out of four corners is obviously dreadful however they looked far inferior to us everywhere. It’s quite surprising given their need to win and upcoming fixtures.

We can breathe for this season, which is most important, well done Roy and well done the lads. I’m suspicious our relaxing could quite possibly see us playing our best football it the remaining fixtures so here’s hoping.

COYP!!!! Great win (eventually)

Today shows how important Zaha is he came back from injury and was causing problems for the West Ham defence. If the reports of £200k week contract being offered is true it is worth it. A 5 year contract on £200k from his reported £130k is around £18m over 5 years. If they sold Zaha buying a replacement would cost over £20m transfer fee at least plus the wages you would have to pay.

But I can see him leaving as he might see it as his last chance to win silverware which he could get at a side that plays in UCL/EUROPA LEAGUE a free transfer would be attractive to many clubs (hope I am wrong though and he stays) The only way Palace will win silverware e.g. a cup is if they buy another 3-4 players minimum in the summer which I cannot see happening.

Absolutely Becky. Hopefully nothing sinister but with Palace you never know.

1) The referee helped us more than not. If he hadn't called the penalty, no way VAR would have awarded it. Other calls, too.

2) I don't understand Roy's subs. Wilf was playing one of his best all-round games ever. Hughes would have helped us hold possession better than Luka. (Perhaps he chose Luka expecting him to waste time by committing fouls.) Edouard offered nothing.

3) We made poor decisions in the final 5-10 minutes. Why not take the ball to the corner flag, or send it back to Johnstone repeatedly?

4) Set piece goals came from individual errors. Olise poor header, Doucoure losing his man, Ward off balance (though credit WHU for aggression).

5) Andersen played a fine first half but looked careless in the second.

6) Johnstone is so good in the air on corners that we'll probably see other teams block/surround him as Spammers did.

7) Mitchell's pace and ball skills are good, but his focus comes and goes. Ward is the complete opposite (except for his focus on the late throw-in).

Zaha got nobbled by their man and couldn't run right. He got really slammed. And he got fouled just before haLF TIME FOR A PENALTY NOT GIVEN.

Well, for me that was the best performance for a long long time. We finally performed for 2 halves, created and every single player worked his nuts off. The only downside was defending corners but feck it. Great result great performance. I must admit though when Edouard came on I thought his work rate might blow it for us but fortunately we got away with it even though he put zero effort in yet again. The quicker we can get rid of him the happier I'll be, appalling player and work ethic.

Agreed

What about the foul on Wilf just before half time in the penalty box?
