Does Jairo have any ambition? Come August he will have been with us for 6 years. He has rarely started games for us and for periods hasn't even made the bench. I would have thought, as the years quickly pass by, that he would want to be playing football, even if it is not at the top level. I think the question should be, Does the club have any ambition having the likes of Jairo on the books. Woeful player who knows well that he struck lucky to make a living out of something he can’t even do.

There was a kid, Richard Harris, around 2000, who could throw it into the box from almost halfway. Trouble was he couldn’t do much else and after a few throws his arms got tired. Give it a few years and we'll have benches of 30 special teams players like American football. The game will go on for hours while all these throw in experts, corner/penalty/free kick takers, etc, trundle on and off.

Only player I was surprised to see released were a couple of youngsters- junior Dixon was scoring a fair few for the under 18s and was a physically strong player for his age.

I know Freddie's dad, and have spoken often about how difficult the academy process is. You can go from being the player of the season to not getting a new contract in an instant. Ultimately the chances are making the prem are so slim
