The thing is all the players we have bought in the last couple of years have been bought to sell on for profit, sell when the market is highest, Doucoure and one of the CDs for 140/150m is a lot of money, invested in the right 4/5 players for the same reason, and it is possible we can challenge for a top 8 finish, without a sugar daddy, you could call it the Brighton plan.

True but ideally you don't want to have to sell all players in one window. As it leaves you with too much to do and not enough time plus you're likely to be held to ransom as clubs know you're desperate to find replacements and they know how much cash you've got. It is however as you say the strategy we've opted for and a sensible one for us but if (big IF) we did sell Guehi,Doucouré, Andersen in one window that'd leave a mighty hole in core positions. Despite Brighton being further along in the development in this plan I think they may struggle having their core ripped out with McAllister and Caicedo leaving even though they'll have a hefty transfer budget.
