Second half - England up 1-0. The ref clearly influenced by the crowd, far too many free kicks going the Aussie's way. What's good though is that the girls don't wrestle each other in the box at corners and, despite some fairly robust challenges, they don't roll around in imaginary agony for ages. The Aussie's have just levelled after 62 minutes.

Two fine finishes Palace take note and a stonking opener. The Matildas competitive but England had a bit more quality. First WC Final since 1966. Spain are extremely tricky, we will have Lauren James back from suspension. COYE.

Well played match. I thought Hemp had an outstanding game. I thought Spain outplayed us in the Euros, we were lucky to beat them. Will be a tough match. Fingers crossed we prevail!
