Put in a transfer request then .

I never said he wanted to go now. But he will do one day. He is destined for bigger things than Palace. But until that day, I'm sure he's happy to play for us and grow into the best player he can be

His Pace and Strenght are unbelivable, he just looks like a young Ronaldo, great signing, ours for 5 years if we choose

I hope Olise stays. Part of me is getting sick and tired of all these unreliable clickbait sources from spotty journos who think he is leaving.

Whether there is a release clause or not no club will trigger it until Olise can pass a medical.
No club would risk paying a transfer fee of say £35m and give the player a five year £25m + contract.
They would also want to understand the boy/man, from what I read that may be difficult.

it happens more often that you think, albeit often for less money - we signed Olise when he was injured. I remember Chungy from Bolton was signed when he was recovering from a broken leg.
Man U signed Rooney when he was injured.

Club doctors will clearly assess the injury so will know the risks and you can still get insurance cover - usually the current injury is excluded.

Unfortunately one of the worst examples of signing an injured player is our own Fergie!

You and me both Alexi. This entire rumour mill regarding our best players has been nothing but staggering nonsense.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

If these click bait reports were actually true in detail, then Palace should be annoyed .
The way it’s been reported , Chelsea have shown a blatant disregard for existing rules, and no respect for the players club. The problem for Palace is proof , because there are so many routes to a player . One of course is to encourage non stop media notifying the player and those around him of a serious interest in signing the player. At the very least unsettling that player, and causing friction with his present employer.
Not a lot can be done except be annoyed by it. The giants practice this all the time.

As much as I’d love to see him stay, we have to remember that we picked him up for an absolute steal off Reading, so he’s got no real emotional ties to Palace, and what’s happening to us now happened to Reading a couple of years ago.
He’s ambitious and wants to get on, so is using us as a stepping stone.
If we can make a few quid out of it, then all the better.
Why not ask Chelsea for £5 million and Gallagher as a swap. Get a ready made midfielder and a few quid in the bank. If there is this release clause, he’ll be off anyway, and if he stays we won’t have him until Christmas due to his injury.
And, before you shoot me down in flames, I’m aware that they are completely different types of player…

It's interesting that Roy referred to it being Olise's decision rather than the club's, which suggests there is indeed a release clause. If there is then why are Chelsea fannying about? Just give us the money if he wants to go so we can get on with spending it. I want Olise to stay, but if he's going we could do with that money.

no shooting down - a very good suggestion.

Olise's agent appears to be smart. A release clause for a youngster at a time when he had barely kicked a ball for Reading is quite unusual and to ensure there was one in his Palace contract (whether it has been removed or increased seems to be up for debate) was also quite savvy.
