I fully agree, they have to put their money upfront and not try to make it a deal that adds up to 35mil, including any add on's. Hopefully we have the sense to insist on a share of any future sale as he is bound to end up at PSG if he is any good!

God, i hope not, they're losing players quicker than we are.

Well that’s par for the rulings involving our modern game still called football. Totally contrasting interpretations ,net result confusion that the top teams always seem to ride through, everyone else appear as if hands are tied behind back. Not just in the finances , also the rules and how referees come up with different decisions week in week out.

Chelsea have yet to hold talks with Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise and are now waiting for the green light to begin discussions with the player and conduct a medical.

There is an article on the BBC website stating how Chelsea have managed to stay within the FFP rules and it's effectively what Simon Jordan has said

Sorry I wasn’t 100% sure about the full meaning of Tapping Up
Seems strange that things have paused and chelsea are rushing through sales
So interesting to see if they were given permission

Don't somehow think that scumbag,Chelsea, will lose any sleep from little Palace's protests about not acting appropriately.
Probably giving them all a laugh as they are also above the "rules".

He may not have the funds to propel the club forward as quickly as some would like, but nobody should doubt that Parish is a shrewd character who will always seek to drive a hard bargain for Palace.
I seem to recall that he did a pretty clever deal on getting Selhurst Park and he took Pulis to the cleaners in court after Pulis tried it on with the club.
It’s evident that the club has said not one word on Olise, all the noises coming from Chelsea friendly media and possibly Olise’s camp.
I suspect the apparent collapse of the Hall deal is because he’s not prepared to roll over and be bullied by Chelsea .
We don’t know what the terms of the release clause are (if it exists) , but I’m pretty sure Chelsea will have to meet it in full , whether it’s full payment up front or with a sell on provision etc.
I recall Zaha trying to force moves to Spurs, Arsenal and Everton in his time but they never materialised as Parish held firm.
This is not to say Olise will not depart if there is a release clause , but there may be a few twists and turns yet.

what i really would like to know is has a bid been (reluctantly) accepted, all i read last night was chelsea ‘believed’ it had been accepted…those are 2 different scenarios.

i dont hold any bad feeling towards olise/his agent/parish over this situation, it is what it is & we were always a stepping stone in his career…i just feel lucky we have seen him play for 2 seasons, if we get a 3rd season thats a bonus.

i just feel like, chelsea have been a bunch of c***s about this situation & if they have tapped him up then we should dig our heels in & make life as difficult as possible…they cant be eligable for ‘the clause’ otherwise this transfer would have been completed weeks ago & very straight forward.

we have franca, we have JSR, we will stay up this season regardless if he leaves…its just annoying from a fans POV that we actually have no idea what the parameters of the deal would be.
