Came on for the last 20 minuites for Galatasary's league opener . Did little as both teams struggled to a 0-0 in 92*F to get much above walking pace .

Coack Okan Buruk blamed the heat and the squad rebuild for the 0-0 draw saying Zaha and other new signings need more time to get to know each other

The translation could be better but [Link]

And we still need a striker

Sounds unlikely, but it would be a bit ironic for Wilf if we made Europe. News of his debut came up on my feed but I was too annoyed to care in a positive way. I'm obviously petty like that. I'll probably get nostalgic at some stage in the next year or two but, again, I'm one of those ones who's never forgiven Wright. Arsenal big shot.

I honestly read this thread title wrong, mistaking a 'w' for an 'm'. Disappointing as I was hoping to learn of the location etc.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

He didn't get on until the 2nd half in tonight's Champions League qualifier. It will be interesting to see how things go for him in Turkey.

He's already learnt the language. Doner Kebab, Shish kebab - he's fluent now.

Fell asleep on the keyboard dreaming of the grocers daughter . Awoke in time to see Wilf do a couple of stepovers and moan at the ref , well worth it .

Watched the last 25 minutes last night. He looked completely lost. They have no idea of how to use him and he was walking toward the end of the match (tbf Galatasaray were 4-0 up in the series).

I have a co-worker who is Turkish and a Galatasaray supporter, this is what he texted me about the first match (I laughed):

Like he doesn't belong in this league. Clear difference in quality between him and nearly everyone on the pitch. It's a shame we were terrible yesterday and didn't utilize him properly. He made a couple nice passes and runs but we just didn't know how to take advantage of it

He also nearly got into a fight with someone. Is he usually an aggressive player? He got fouled (was a hard tackle but not dirty or anything) and he got in the guys face and pushed him. I like the energy but hopefully he's not the type to lose focus and get silly cards
