Delighted for Wilf. Great goal and great decision to go to Gala.

He has lost his extreme pace, but he has replaced it with some very good touches and still has a great presence on the pitch and clearly an eye for goal.

I'm not sure about the retrospective Wilf love-in, but I really do hope he puts in a good performance and scores for Gala tomorrow: a, because United disrespected him and b, because.....well, just because.

But it's not retrospective is it? Whatever his behaviour and comments have been in the past and the tiresome pantomime of 'will he leave or won't he?' anyone with basic common sense can see the debt we all owe him for the last 12 years. Simply put, no Wilf all that time and there would likely be no Premier League.

Gala now top of Turkish superleague table after Wilf scored both goals in a 2-1 win earlier this week.

The Turkish fans love him almost as much as we do - and that's saying something.

Quiet night for Wilf in Munich ,subbed off toward the end .1-2 defeat .Much like his games at the end of his time with us ,looking to pass rather than taking the ball where it hurts the opponent

Big game coming up for Gala H Man utd next round 29/11

Wonder what wilf would have been thinking on a beach in Turkey watching that?

Somthing a long the lines of "thank God I got out last year" and who would blame him?

I doubt he bothered watching it. Would you anymore?

No. I have flown over for the least amount of games this season that I can remember. Just not worth the flights and hassle lately.

Tell me about it. This dross isn't worth the several hundred. Although, as usual, my worst leg of the journey is Ireland itself.

Should've been 3 if it weren't for that stupid backhander.

Interesting to see him being used more centrally.
As his legs get older they are making use of his football brain!
If Roy hadn't stayed I feel sure that Wilf would have.
He has been a huge miss for us this season - his brain, his passion and so on.
Good luck to him though!
