I'd prefer to have a keeper on a lower wage as our second keeper. Someone like Alex Mccarthy and then spend 100k a week on a decent striker...

Assuming for the moment click bait is correct I can't get my head around this. Henderson is the back up at Man United but wants to leave? So why come to Palace who already have a good goalkeeper? Also if Henderson was that great why did Forest not sign him permanently?

My thoughts exactly. My only thought is that Palace are worried that SJ may be injury prone but it all seems a little odd.

Perhaps the media are trying to promote that Arteta style of having 2 top goalkeepers in competition for the starting spot - quite frankly if we had that kind of money to spend (30M / 100,000 per week) I would imagine that we would spend it in areas where we had more pressing needs. Not sure why we would go for another goalkeeper. Three established PL players plus Joe Whitworth. Good job that RH picks the team rather than the Sun.

None of this makes much sense. The fee on the heavy side . Palaces actual needs? The players actual needs, the player wants game time , or why leave a top club? As things stand coming to Palace doesn’t get him closer to that. As it’s football it doesn’t always have to make sense. But for a club with a limited purse maybe it should do.
