Me too. Geoffrey Bayldon was brilliant. Electrickery and the telling bone still get mentioned from time to time.

Ah yes the telling bone!! so good wasn’t it.

Would love to see Gerry Andersons UFO remade. But could it ever be as good as the original?

It was ahead of it's time I thought.
It suffered from being likened to Thunderbirds but with real people, which was very unfair.

I think the Americans remade it, I haven't seen it though but I agree another Seventies show with poor production values.

It's been remade a couple of times. THe last effort was OK but typically American.

THe joy of many of these low budget sci fi sries was that they were home grown, Doctor Who being the obvious example. I thought I was the only person who remembered Timeslip.

I think they did episodes on WWII and the Romans amongst others.

Would

I think I've mentioned before about 20 years after that show A lady friend was on holiday with a group including Alexandra.

She's not one to compliment other women but said she was still very beautiful and a nice person.

I kind of work on the principles that a remake is never as good as the original (in say TV shows or films) and American re makes are even worse.

Not TV but the film re makes of The Wicker Man and Get Carter in point.

But I must be a hypocrite as I can watch different stagings of plays quite happily.
