The FA are simply brilliant and professional. What a wonderful way to run a sport. Their gifts are like a box of wonderful chocolates, the first one you open is sweet on the outside and a lingering bitter on the inside: VAR. The next is wrapped in gold foil and contains truffle - however, it takes ages to unwrap and leaves you a little unsatisfied: FFP. Then you get to the one that's always left because no one wants it: the super league. However, the chocolate company will be unwilling to discontinue it.

Everton's hearing into their 2nd breach of PSR starts today & will last 3 days. Decision, plus published reasons have to be given 7 days after completion, bearing in mind it's Easter w/e, so, end of next week i would say, my opinion.

Everton have just published their accounts for 22/23 season & guess what, yup another loss, £89.1m to be exact. Will they be facing another PSR charge? [Link]

[Link] It's hard to know due to what type of costs are not included. But they are clearly not sustainable. They sound like a club that's going to go under if relegated.

[Link] Unless I've misunderstood it, it seems the second charge covers the 22/23 season which is what these accounts cover. Seems this is the public announcement but the PL have known for quite a while? Everton still have Sheff Utd, Forest and Burnley at home plus Luton away. The state of this league if they get two sets of points deductions, haven't won in the league since mid December and still have a good shot of staying up!
