....and their use to control people and/or to exploit people. By playing on their emotions and shaming them into some action.

from Personal, Professional or Political Life.

- Godfather II movie. A politician awakes, at a brothel, beside a dead prostitute. Thus starts the manipulation and henceforth he is in the back-pocket of the Mafia

- Covid Lockdown......various.

- Israel/Palestine......you criticize a violent atrocity and are immediately accused of AntiSemitism/Islamophobia respectively.

- Greta Thunberg......just one big gigantic sulking guilt-trip "shame on you"

- Your employer...any guilt trips ? ..do please tell ?

- Family Politics, around Christmas time ?.....do tell us ?

- Those fundraising money-clipboard fellas you often get on Tottenham Court Road ..."we are helping blind elephants in Zambia, now please give me your bank details for a standing-order every month". A guilt trip....Preying on the vulnerable and often the autistic.

- The Lifeboats on the Titanic. Women and children first. So, Frank, aged 19, must surrender his life to save Mathilda 89...a very powerful Guilt trip. Frank does not get to stay with his pregnant wife cos thems is da rules.

- Are the ticket barrier staff trained to give you a guilt trip if your Travelcard beeped ?

- Weight-Loss programmes. Attend a public meeting and get guilt tripped if you failed to lose 5 pounds. Maybe that is good effective management ? or maybe its unethical ?

- Does Sadiq Khan, et al, wish you to apologise for driving whatever vehicle you have ? especially for tradesmen & work-vehicles ?

what other Guilt Trips ? Famous, infamous or minor ?

Those fcking charity adverts grip my $h1t.

Look at poor ngoonu who has to walk 300 miles a day to get a cup of cows pi$$
Please help our suffering donkeys like ee-ooor by giving us all your money and belongings.

Let Governments and the Arms Industry sort out poverty. They have piles of money. I don't.

had a cold caller at the house I was working on, selling soap for a charity.
I declined.
He started shouting 'so you dont care about blind children then !'

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

You forgot to mention the multi millionaire celebs first to the camera but last to their pockets.

It's a tough call I suspect I am like many, if I actually believed that my donation would go to a starving family in Africa of course I would pony up. However I have heard too much to believe that it will actually happen.

As for the guilt trip. I do sell poppies each year but like most poppy sellers I stand quietly (and out of the way) never rattle my tin or say anything to the public until they approach me.

I can't stand chuggers and their aggressive tactics. In Bromley high street they often stand in a line across the pavement so you have to walk through them whilst they accost you. Out of principle I will not donate to them.
