not talking serious, allergies etc.
but what foodstuffs, seasonings, sauces etc are a nightmare for you?
Im getting worse.
I can eat a vindaloo, all ok (bar the arse probs next day) but a butter chicken killed me the other night.
awoke 1am, in misery all night.
cant eat roast lamb or melted cheese much.
Garlic is a huge issue.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

You say you like vindaloo, but then you say you have an issue with garlic.
Vindaloo literally means ‘cooked with vinegar and garlic’ it’s one of the main ingredients.
Must admit, I try to keep the garlic to a minimum, mainly because of the lingering smell on my breath afterwards. Nothing worse than someone who stinks of second hand garlic.
Other things I don’t like, most fish (again, the smell issue) and tea. That makes me heave (I do of course realise that I’m in a big minority there).

yes, no rhyme or reason to stuff that upsets me.
(I leave out or keep garlic to bare minimum if i cook myself, but seem to tolerate it in some dishes & not others)
processed not fresh garlic is worse , but garlic aside , a hot curry often will not bother me yet a mild one, probably if rich is a killer?
I was more interested what other people suffered from though.

Gravy made with granules (instant gravy) gives me heartburn / indigestion (acid reflux) but gravy made in a restaurant, presumably from natural juices doesn't.

I had mild allergies before I got Covid around a year ago. Ever since, I'm highly intolerant to Gluten and dairy. I ate a couple of biscuits yesterday and immediately needed the loo. That kind of thing. I ate a pizza and was sick in bed for a day. Pain in the arse. I'm now an almond milk drinker but certain breads don't seem to bother me. I eat Polish rye bread, which doesn't affect me anything like other bread. I also can't stomach gluten free beer - just doesn't even seem like beer.

fyi
My neighbours gave up gluten not for allergy reasons but a lifestyle choice.

However they are now both allergic to gluten and suffer if they have even a small amount.

I'm very pleased somebody else has said this. I've thought it for years but not had the courage.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

A lot of people have mild intolerances exacerbated by Covid. Hayfever too - any of those allergies. It can last for a short while or even be permanent.

My youngest has celiac disease alongside type 1.
What a lucky lad, not. They can go hand in hand due to them being immuno compromised conditions.
His diet is gluten free but the only thing that tastes different is bread tbh. Bloody expensive though but there is a good range of different foods now. I will add that GF pasta and spaghetti although a few pence dearer is a lot nicer than standard. Doesn’t go all gloopy like non GF. Just a tip.

Sorry to hear of others' experiences but it's quite reassuring at the same time. I've virtually given up bread except sourdough which is expensive but more easily digested, toasted anyway.
Allergies are such a pain - I've had more salt water up my snout than a walrus in the last few years.
There was also an unfortunate session on gluten-free beer which was an experiment that will not be repeated.
