I didn't think it was a red at the time, firstly due to minimal contact and, secondly, to not re-referee the game. However, I also would like to see what exactly happened in the appeal. Basically, how this is suddenly different to other VAR reds? The only difference I see is that it wasn't against a big side and it was carried out by a side who have already lost ten points. This smacks of football politics. Surprise, surprise.
He should still be banned for the replay - in my opinion - as why should we be affected by his poor challenge? My opinion would be this would often come with a more than one match ban but could have just been upheld as a one match ban. That wouldn't exactly be harsh.
Watch him throw himself around in the replay impervious to any officials.

Amazing how we all seen the same thing and we all have different thoughts on it.

I still think VAR and the ref made correct decisions.

Yes, quite. This proves the subjectivity of ‘clear and obvious’ on fouls rarely works. The sooner it goes the better. Currently watching Bristol City Vs West Ham, plenty of big tackles and the game is flowing, just a general all round better watch.

Ball over line, fine, offside (once a sensible and clear definition is in place), fine. Handballs and fouls, get rid.

If they had VAR at this game there would have been at least another red card - agree VAR is killing the game.
