Half the planet seems to think there's a god and they're all wrong. How much proof would you need to believe? A true skeptic will always find a way to discount evidence in the same way that the gullible will believe practically anything. I'd keep an open mind on UFO's and I am a devout athiest BTW.

I'm with you on this Hrolf.... I had a "sighting" that seemed pretty darned convincing.Three of us all saw it....though objectively possibly not 100% unconnected with what had entered our systems during the previous few hours!

What's worse, to see evidence of life out there, in the open space of the galaxy or that we are all there ever was and ever will, polluting our world, killing each other and talking s***e on a website? I believe in ET, there is too much evidence to say there isn't, it does shock me how people are so quick to dismiss it, as if they know better because of what they are spoon fed by the government and media. Stick to voting the winner of Big Bro - the irony.
This was once a quality forum.... |

Carl Sagan popularized the phrase extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Also the iss video feed regularly cuts out depending on its orbit & relationship with satellites that feed info to nasa on the ground. There are also thousands of amateur astronomers who dedicate their love of astronomy to chasing the ISS across the sky, if there was an actual fly by a ufo it would be caught on camera by multiple people in multiple locations.

All three of you saw the same hallucination? Other peoples doubt makes you doubt yourself. If any one knows of craft of Earth origin that can stop dead and turn at right angles or fly at astonishing speed from a standing start, I'd like to hear about it.

Probably some kind of space s***e. Given we have equipment that can identify evidence of liquid on other planets, I'd imagine extra terrestrials capable of traveling such distances would have the ability to assess something like Earth, or the ISS, without literally having to fly up to it - seems a bit lo-tech. But then again, who am I to question the methods of our future lords and masters?

My question would be, if you see the unidentifiable, the illogical, is it terrifying?

Face it people, aliens are real. There is a tendency for people to dismiss all UFO stuff as silly to make themselves look clever but that is a very short sighted attitude born partly out of ignorance. I have heard some very convincing stories from reliable sources and seen one myself. Keep an open mind people, the truth is out there. Why would all the governments of the world keep it a secret? I find the story of Lisa Stansfield's freezer contents more believable...

Pikes, I don`t know why governments of the world, would keep secrets from from the public. However, I suspect they do.Probably often and routinely. I,too, have seen things that cannot be explained, more than once.
Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link] |

Because most people are not intelligent enough to deal with such things. Right now, half the World believes in sky fairies and bonkers superstitions. Imagine what aliens would do to such fragile minds. There is also the security issue with most governments being extremely paranoid in that area.

The idea that all governments are in cahoots to cover up UFOs or aliens is ridiculous. There is other life out there but the chance of it being intelligent and capable of producing the technology claimed is so tiny it's ridiculous. How many forms of life are on earth and yet man is the only one with technological capabilities.
Optimistic as ever |
