I think something that is massively in our favour is that he'll want to get into the Euros squad next summer and playing under Roy is probably his safest route to making that happen. If he moves to a big club and sits on the bench, he might miss out.

As I said 2 weeks ago Franca was a done deal & has now been confirmed by Fabrizio. We will sign another winger & Strike in coming weeks. We will go big for a striker.

If this was a done deal 2 weeks ago what would be the point in waiting this long to do a medical and make it official? I very much hope we look to strengthen the fullback position but I fear we won't (for the 20th straight transfer window!!)
