Exit M6 at junction 31. At roundabout take 1st exit (s/p Preston A59) onto the A59. At mini-roundabout after 1.0 miles, by the Hesketh Arms, take 2nd exit (s/p Ring Road, Blackpool A583, Football Ground), onto the Blackpool Road A5085. Straight on for 1.2 miles, then filter left before lights (s/p Town Centre, Football Ground) into Deepdale Road. Ground is on left.

Parking
The schools in Moor Park Avenue and St Stephen's Road, off Sir Tom Finney Way, have parking. There's enough street parking near the ground, but keep away from Lowthorpe Road, Hollins Road, Parkside and St Stephen's Road, unless you want your car towed away.

Where to Eat?

There’s not much choice of food near the ground apart from a couple of burger vans. It’s only really the pubs which serve food and a Sainsbury’s, where you can make your own sandwiches. There are a few takeaways on the way from the town. Grub inside the ground is top notch with good quality pies, tasty burgers and chips.

Where to Drink?

The Sumners is the pick of the pubs on Sir Tom Finney Way and opposite that is the Garrison – both 5 mins from ground.

The nearest pub approaching the ground from the town is the County Arms (Deepdale Road/Ribbleton Lane). The Hesketh Arms is at the top of Blackpool Road, towards the M6 junction 31 and The White Hart on Watling St Road, a bit past The Garrison and The Sumners.

If going by train, the HOL team highly recommends the Squares pub in Preston High Street, about five mins' walk from the station. Avoid the two pubs right next to the station as they're a bit moody! Beer is served in the away end at Deepdale.

What's their ground like?

Deepdale has three impressive single tier stands, the Tom Finney Stand, the Bill Shankly Stand and Alan Kelly Stand. These stands have head and shoulder images of the great men depicted in the seats.

Newly built for 2008 is the Invincibles Stand. Although it's the same height as the other three stands, it has less seating with a row of corporate boxes at the back.

Palace fans will be in The Bill Shankly Stand behind the goal. It holds 6,000 and we have been given an allocation of around 1,000. As the stand is only a few years old, the view and facilites (they serve beer and tasty pies) are very good.

What do they sing?

Chim Chimeny chim chim cha roo, We hate those b*stards in claret and blue! and Stand Up If You Hate Blackpool

Who do they hate?

Blackpool, Burnley & Blackburn Rovers
