From North: Continue on A3(M) to 'end of motorway' signs (following s/p Portsmouth, Southampton M27). The road bends to the right (otherwise it would fall into the sea) and joins the A27.
Exit A27 after 0.7 miles (s/p Southsea A2030). At roundabout turn left (s/p Milton, Eastney, Southsea) onto the A2030. (*)Straight on for 3.0 miles to roundabout by ground - the floodlights are clearly visible along the route.
From West: Continue to end of M27, and take next exit (s/p Southsea A2030). At roundabout turn right (3rd exit, s/p Milton, Eastney, Southsea) onto the A2030. Then as from North(*).
From East: Continue on A27 past junction with A3(M). Take next exit (s/p Southsea A2030). At roundabout turn left (s/p Milton, Eastney, Southsea) onto the A2030. Then as from North(*).
Parking
Try the car park off Goldsmith Avenue which charges a few quid. Best to park up in streets leading to the ground.
Nearest Station
Fratton - 10 mins walk away.
Walk to footbridge and turn left. At main road turn left and keep walking for half a mile. The ground is on your left hand side.
Check train times and tickets at The Trainline. For more information, call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.
You'll pass a cafe on the way to the ground from the train station where the food is not bad. There's a chippie on Winter Road and a couple of burger vans around the ground.
Food in the ground is not recomended and you'll be waiting ages in the queue to get served.
The Brewer's Arms (five minutes' walk away on the A2030), the Good Companion, the Devonshire and the Harvester - those are only a couple of minutes away. Alternatively, you can sink a beer in Portsmouth city centre or at Southsea.
Fratton Park has largely been left undeveloped over the years and is showing its age. The club hopes to move to a new stadium on wasteland next to where they currently are now.
The newest stand is the The TY Europe Stand which is a single-tier stand behind the goal. The two stands alongside the pitch are fairly old and the terracing at the front has been converted into seating in the past few years.
Eagles fans will be seated behind the goal in the Milton End. The stand holds 3,000 and Palace will probably be allocated the left half. Seats have been bolted onto the old terracing making legroom pretty bad. At least there is now a roof, but pillars restrict the view. Catering facilities are very bad. Expect long queues for third-rate food!
